Obituary for Austin James Heier

Austin James Heier was born on December 7th, 1994, to Ron and Nancy Heier. He passed away April 21st, 2022.

Austin grew up in Wisconsin and Kansas graduating from Quinter High School in 2013. After high school Austin proudly served his country in the United States Army for five years. During his time with the military he earned many accolades, spent time deployed to South Korea, and made lasting friendships. After returning from the Army, Austin enjoyed seeing the country through the windshield of a semi. He spoke of the many beautiful sites he’d seen and people he met along the way.

The absolute light of Austin’s life was born on October 1st, 2013, in the form of a little girl named Harper. Austin grew to be an amazing and caring father, always going above and beyond to make sure Harper was taken care of and spoiled. More than anything, he loved her with his entire being and always put her first. They shared a love of Pokémon, everything outdoors, and the same orneriness.

Austin is survived by his father Ron and his wife Melissa of Oakley; mother Nancy of Hays; sister Kara her husband Derek, along with their children Tyler and Chloe, of Missouri; daughter Harper and her mother Allie of Quinter, and girlfriend Kayde of Norton.

Austin was preceded in death by his best friend Jesse Jacka; grandparents Leo Heier, Agnes Heier, and Donald Newsome.
