Obituary for Carol Y. Fite
Carol Y. Fite, 66, of Colby, died Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Citizens Medical Center, Colby. She was born August 3, 1955, in Colby, KS, to John Alvin Fite and Treva (Laurent) Fite.
Carol had cleaned house and cared for her mother for many years, until her passing. She had also taught at ACE Christian School, in Gem, KS and Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, attending singles group, playing cards, her Friday night Pizza Night and attending the annual Pickin’ on the Plains in Colby. In her younger days, Carol loved to spend time in the mountains hiking and climbing. In her recent years she was an active member of College Drive Assembly of God Church.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sisters, Corinia Hilton, of Hays, KS and Sheila (Robert) Weis, of Spearville, KS, along with many loved nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation from 9:30- 11:00 a.m., with the Funeral at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 13, 2021, at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby. Burial will take place in Beulah Cemetery, Colby.
