Obituary for Marion Bernice Nickel (Keller)
Marion Bernice Nickel, 88, died Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at her home in Oakley, Kansas. She was born August 22, 1933, on her grandparent’s farm in Barton County, Kansas, to Alexander Keller and Marion (Donovan) Keller. Bernice attended school at Monument, Kansas. On December 7, 1952, she married Roy A. Nickel. She enjoyed quilting with the ladies from St Joseph Catholic Church.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Kathryn McKellpis and Twila Ann Hawkins.
She is survived by her husband Roy, of 69 years; children, Roy A. Jr (Ilene) Nickel, of Oakley, KS, Debbie Collins, of Colby, KS, Robert (Donna) Nickel, of Augusta, KS, and Jennifer (Ron) Barber, of Topeka, KS; 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; sisters, Elsie Wolf and Jennie Wolf and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
