Obituary for Mildred M. Kuhlman (Brenner)

Mildred M. Kuhlman, 98, of Oakley, died Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Logan County Hospital with her family by her side.

She was born December 6, 1924, in McCracken, Kansas, to William and Rose (Sweeney) Brenner. She was a Registered Nurse and was enlisted in the Women’s Army Corps at the end of World War II.

Mildred married Henry Marion Kuhlman January 9, 1946, in McCracken, Kansas. To this union eight sons and one daughter were born. Henry and Mildred moved to Oakley in 1954 and farmed. She was an exceptional wife and mother and worked by Henry’s side farming.

Her faith, family, and gathering with the family were her legacy. They helped her through difficult times and heartaches that God handed her. Mildred was always strong and believed it was God’s will that would be done.
