Steven Wesley Elling, 47, of Olathe, KS, passed away Monday, November 1st, 2021 at his home. He was born August 9th, 1974 to Henry LaVon Elling and Grace (Colson) Kauk.

Steven graduated from Colby High School in 1992. After graduation he attended DeVry Institute of Technology in Kansas City, MO where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering Technology in 1997.

He was a freelance computer programmer and I.T. tech for several major companies.
In June 2005, he married Elaine Gaither.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry Von & Mildred Elling and Leamon & Edna Colson; and brother Henry Leamon Elling.

He is survived by his father Henry LaVon Elling, of Colby, KS; mother and step-father Grace and Stan Kauk, Colby, KS; brother James (Shauna) Elling, Colby, KS; sister Martha (Steve) Plotner, Hays, KS; sister-in-law Sonia (Darin) Elling-Snyder, Colby, KS; former spouse Elaine Gaither, Gardner, KS; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Visitation is from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, November 7th, 2021, at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 8th, 2021 at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby with burial immediately following at Beulah Cemetery, Colby.
